The Home Building Group is actively searching for a Training Coordinator to join the team at our Nashville, NC facility.


The Training Coordinator supports Clayton Nashville’s training programs and initiatives.  As a member of the Team Member Experience Team (TMX/HR), this role wile partner directly with the Production Leadership Team to help identify the training needs of the facility, implement training programs, track progress and analyze results.  The functions for success in this role are outlined as follows.

  • Maintain a facility-wide training program and schedule, which includes new hire training, cross-training, coach development and JTA training
  • Design new training solutions, including auditing existing programsTrack training results, create reports, manage of specific reports, develop standard work instructions and make training recommendations to the team
  • Work hands-on beside, meet, plan and coordinate with the Production Team (Department Coaches, Department Managers, Production Manager, Process Improvement Coordinator and Team Members) ensuring training standards are being met
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the Home Building Group’s training programs and initiatives
  • Reinforces learning before, during and following training events, using varied methods

  • Ability to lead, consult and perform skills associated with a Job Task Analysis (as required by current training/job)
  • Operate equipment and tools
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, walking, sitting
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs (occasionally)
  • Understands manufacturing principles and construction methods
  • Ability to effectively manage change, flexible and adaptable, as needs may change on a moment’s notice
  • Willingness to work inside and outside, as dictated by the training (regardless of weather)
