The Home Building Group is actively searching for a Regional TMX Manager to join the team in Maryville, TN.

Relocation to the Knoxville, TN area preferred.

Summary:

This position is responsible for assessing organizational needs, delivering training and development programs, and providing one-on-one coaching to advance our vision of creating a world class team member experience. This position is also responsible for developing our TMX managers at facilities, and ensuring they are appropriately leveraging resources developed by the home office.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Uses a variety of organization development tools and methods to assess and describe organizational culture, effectiveness and needs. 
  • Gathers and analyzes information from a variety of sources (i.e., turnover data, engagement surveys, operations metrics) to help identify issues, understand root causes, and develop action plans.
  • Works with GM, Production Manager (PM), and TMX Manager to clarify roles and responsibilities for each level of leadership.
  • Partners with GM, PM, and TMX manager to create alignment between company vision and facilities’ TMX processes and programs, and create consistency across TMX functions (pay, recruiting and hiring, leadership development, performance management).
  • Conducts individual and team assessments, interprets results, and guides leaders and team members to identify strengths and developmental opportunities.
  • Recommends and delivers training & development programs for home building facilities that improve skills and abilities of team members and leaders, and promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Guides and develops TMX teams to improve their capacity to facilitate training, coach managers, and plan and lead TMX programs.
  • Works with TMX Manager to develop and lead on-going leadership development programs.
  • Coaches and advises leaders on individual and team performance and growth.
  • Provides on-going support, including follow-up calls, in-person visits, webinars, lunch and learns, etc.
  • Applies and teaches change management techniques to help lead operational and cultural change.
  • Monitors and reports progress, and the effectiveness of TMX programs.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: 

  • Experience with organization development tools and methodologies (i.e, culture assessments, surveys, process improvement, change management, etc.).
  • Expertise in leadership development topics (i.e., employee engagement, coaching, teambuilding, self-awareness, emotional intelligence, etc.).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and to work across business units and project teams. 
  • Strong written/oral communication skills, visual graphic design, creative talent and effective presentation, facilitation, and coaching skills. 
  • Business acumen; ability to understand and remain current on the drivers of company performance.
  • Friendly and outgoing personality that matches our people and potential culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial/Organization Psychology, Human Resources or related field.
  • 7+ years work experience in Organization Development, training and development, or related field.
  • Experience with diagnostic/assessment tools including, but not limited to: DiSC, EQ-360, Myers Briggs, etc. strongly preferred.
