Quality Assurance Coordinator - Nashville, NC

SUMMARY:

The QA Coordinator is a liaison throughout the production process to ensure compliance to all respective codes, company policies and quality of the product(s).  This position also supports the purchasing and inventory control functions. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • DAPIA / Floor Plan - Approved Document Control
  • Maintain current master copy of all documents including supplier data, supplier audit reports, DAPIA, ECR’s, record of changes, CEF forms, etc.
  • Distribute materials (DAPIA updates, supplier data, product standards, etc.) with full explanation of changes or additions
  • Maintenance of the on-line DAPIA
  • Initiate ECR’s for proposed changes or modifications of the DAPIA designs or Floor Plans
  • Follow-up with all paper work distributions to assure changes are being made in accordance with distributed drawings and specifications
  • Inspections, monitoring, and tracking
  • Perform a systematic documented line inspection, in a 15-day rotation of CCI items, material installation, and observation of testing equipment
  • Daily inspection of a labeled unit.
  • Follow-up inspections of yard work and re-testing
  • Ensure that the QA Administration - FTC Database is updated routinely and monitor for repetitive issues or other quality issues
  • During IPIA inspections, escort the IPIA throughout the plant
  • Assist in the accurate and timely completion of HUD 302 reports, Alternate Construction reports and Energy Star reports 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma/GED, or equivalent experience
  • Construction industry experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural/engineering drawings and specifications
  • Proactive approach to Quality
  • Working knowledge of facilities machines, tools, and equipment
  • Ability to track and report on Quality issues
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with all Team Members at all levels
  • Solid understanding of construction trades and quality practices

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment
