Clayton is actively searching for an experienced Production Manager to join the team at our Clayton Supply manufacturing facility in Hillsboro, TX.

The PM is responsible for supervising all phases of the manufacturing process, working directly with the General Manager and Operations Team.


  • Ability to lead large groups of people and focus on developing a culture of accountability working as a team
  • Strict adherence and compliance with quality assurance requirements
  • Be safety minded and ability to put Safety 1st – must adhere to strict safety rules and guidelines
  • Reviewing production performance and identifying training opportunities of production personnel as necessary
  • Direct teams effectively in each department to ensure timelines and production priorities are met
  • Provide sound leadership, coaching, mentoring, and direction for personnel development and employee engagement
  • Improve production processes for the purpose of improving overall quality, reducing lead-times, and lowering costs of operations by utilizing Lean Manufacturing methods, 5S, Kaizen, etc. applications where necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements


  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 10 years relevant management experience
  • Previous leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in manufactured housing is greatly desired


  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, as well as basic math skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and can multi-task effectively
  • Ability to read and understand building specifications greatly desired
  • Demonstrated adherence to safety protocols
  • Ability to adapt quickly and make sound decisions in a changing, fast-paced work environment
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen
