The Home Building Group is actively searching for a Payroll Coordinator to join the team at our Richfield, NC facility.

Primary Responsibilities:  TEAM MEMBER PAYROLL/ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE

General Expectations: 

Ensures timely and accurate collection and submission of payroll data to our home office to process weekly payroll. Provides administrative support for the TMX initiatives and special TMX projects as assigned. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process all duties and functions as it relates to payroll
  • Reviews payroll documentation for accuracy and makes any necessary adjustments
  • Collaborates with Operations to ensure the integrity of the payroll data including data related to new hires, terminations, transfers and payrate changes
  • Researches and resolves questions from Team Members related to the processing of payroll information such as vacation, holiday, direct deposit, garnishments, employment verifications, workers’ compensation, retroactive pay calculations, tax questions, and other changes
  • Processes and submits all Labor Reclassification reports and tracks referral program to ensure compensation accuracy
  • Screens policies and practices to ensure that we comply with federal and North Carolina state laws
  • Serves as a key participant in the advancement of special TMX projects
  • Assists with the creation of company policies, procedures and other documentation for the TMX program
  • Receives and processes packing slips for materials brought on-site
  • Processing transfer of materials from internal providers (Clayton Supply)
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Experience with HRIS/Payroll systems and/or Kronos a plus
  • Microsoft Word and Excel experience
  • Trustworthy – capable of handling and maintaining highly confidential information
  • Must be detail oriented and organized with the ability to adhere to multiple tight deadlines
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and constructively with all levels in the organization
  • Knowledge of all Human Resources components related to employment law and relations FMLA
