The HomeBuilding Group is actively searching for a Payroll Coordinator to join theHuman Resources department in our Savannah, TN.

REPORTS TO:  HR/ TMX MANAGER

RESPONSIBLE FOR:  PAYROLL OF ALL NEW TEAM MEMBERS AND INTERNAL OFFICE PERSONAL

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS:

Ensures timely and accurate collectionand submission of payroll data to our home office to process weekly payroll.Serves as the face of Human Resources for all initial concerns at the assignedplant. Provides administrative support for the HR/TMX initiatives and specialHR/TMX projects as assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitates employee time cards via Kronos or via spreadsheets completed and approved
  • Completes post-offer paperwork, including I-9s, E-verify, personal action request (PAR), benefits sign-ups, clock numbers & time cards, direct deposit
  • Runs daily production and direct reports
  • Reviews payroll documentation for accuracy and makes any necessary adjustments
  • Maintains and tracks all benefits to include Open Enrollment as well as New Hire and Life changes
  • Collaborates with Operations to ensure the integrity of the payroll data including data related to new hires, terminations, transfers and payrate changes
  • Researches and resolves questions from Team Members related to the processing of payroll information such as vacation, holiday, direct deposit, garnishments, employment verifications, workers’ compensation, retroactive pay calculations, tax questions, and other changes
  • Tracks absentee’s, PTO, updates TM Attendance folders
  • Serves as a key participant in the advancement of special HR/TMX projects
  • Assists the HR/TMX Manager with Employee Assistance Program initiatives, and with the creation of company policies, procedures and other documentation for the HR/TMX program
  • Process all duties and functions as it relates to payroll including bonus spreadsheet
  • Processes and submits all Labor Reclassification reports and tracks referral program to ensure compensation accuracy
  • Receives evaluation forms, updates tier level tracking, and ensures forms are filed and organized
  • Screens policies and practices to ensure that we comply with federal and state laws
  • Coordinate TM recognition, appreciation and rewards (birthdays, perfect attendance)
  • Orders office supplies

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Trustworthy – capable of handling and maintaining highly confidential information
  • Experience with HRIS/Payroll systems and/or Kronos a plus
  • Microsoft Word and Excel experience
  • Must be detail oriented and organized with the ability to adhere to multiple tight deadlines
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and constructively with all levels in the organization
  • Knowledge of all Human Resources components related to employment law and relations FMLA
