The right Interior Designer for this position will work seamlessly with architects and engineers to select color schemes, window treatments, hardware and lighting fixtures, carpet, paint, furniture, and layout of rooms to create beautiful, world-class products for our customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with architects and engineers during the initial design phase to create, renovate, or modify spaces to meet design standards and building codes.
  • Enhance the function, safety, and aesthetics of interior spaces.
  • Work with vendors to select samples; including flooring, carpet, paint, cabinetry, etc.
  • Choose color palettes.
  • Plan architectural detail such as crown molding and built-in bookshelves.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Negotiate pricing on room décor items.
  • Plan and estimate budgets for projects.
  • Draw up floor plans and sketches.
  • Prepare working drawings, designs, and plans often utilizing computer-aided design software.
  • Stay up to date on current trends in the design industry.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years Interior Design experience. Certified Designer greatly desired.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build relationships with vendors and clients.
  • Working knowledge of architecture, construction, and design industries.
  • An awareness of building and safety regulations.
  • Ability to utilize CAD preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team of other professionals.
