Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Business Data Analyst Position Summary The Business Data Analyst will primarily compile, analyze, and interpret information for the Clayton Home Building Group team. Responsibilities include the identification, structuring and execution of required analysis for system queries, trend research and analysis, compilation of business cases, and recommendations that support successful strategic and operational alignment within the Group.  The position will demand extensive communication, collaboration, strong analytical, client management, and problem-solving skills. The ability to independently build and maintain productive relationships with multiple stakeholders is essential. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed analysis tasks to include; Market share trends, comparative pricing, competitive leverage strategies, supplier and service cost analytics.
  • Staffing strategy research and trend analysis.  
  • Make recommendations on the trends observed.
  • Provide general business support, forecasting, and analysis for key growth initiatives.
  • Participate in special projects and assemble quarterly update reports.
  • Perform data queries for senior management team as needed.
  • Identify and prioritize main issues/analysis.
  • Support overall problem-solving approach.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; preferably in business, information technology, or statistics.
  • 2+ years of relevant business experience
  • Demonstrates high level of proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Data analytical skills: capacity to identify issues and underlying roots, prioritize issues, develop hypothesis for both the issue and potential solution, quickly gather data and develop recommendations.
  • Familiarity with workflow concepts and design: lead times, input/output relations.
  • Ability to handle high volume of work and multi-task a variety of assignments, as well as recognize priorities and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work well under pressure, independently and in a team environment.
  • Detail oriented with excellent writing, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
  • Must have the ability to maintain confidential information.
